I first picked up a camera when I was 10 years old and knew then and there what I was going to do for the rest of my life. I have been photographing professionally for over ten years now in a pursuit to become one of the most sought after image-makers of our generation. My career and knowledge started off at an early age when I attended Venice High School and specialized in its renowned photography program. From there I was chosen to attend the “CSSSA,” a prestigious summer art program held each year at different universities throughout California. As an undergraduate at Cal State Long Beach University, I studied film, and developed technical skills in cinematography, as well as photographing professionally on the side. I decided as a senior that I was not meant to go into the film and turned my attention back towards photography, attaining a Masters Fine Arts degree from C.S.U.L.B. My education in fine art gave me the visual, critical, and mental skills to participate in the art making process, as well as use those same skills in the commercial world. My work has appeared in Time, Newsweek, US News, Sports Illustrated, as well as other high profile corporation annual reports and brochures. Weddings have been my passion for the past several years and I believe I bring something unique and refreshing to each and everyone. My artwork has been in several galleries and permanent university collections. The idea of creating art and working in the commercial realm do not have to be at odds with one another. The notion of the self-destructive starving artist is outdated. Ever since I began watching images as a child, the pleasure of seeing has been my greatest love and fear.
